Another guest arrived on the first day of Küstendorf 2016 – the renowned Italian film director, Matteo Garrone. Traditionally, the important guest was welcomed by Professor Emir Kusturica, and he was offered bread, salt and rakija. Garrone’s new film, Tale of Tales, will be screened after the official opening ceremony. The director will afterwards hold a Q&A session with students and the participants of the Competition Programme. This is the third film by the Italian director to be screened at the Festival, following Gomorrah (2008) and Reality (2012).
