The CEO of the British Film Institute, Amanda Nevill, arrived today in Mećavnik, just before the opening ceremony. She was welcomed by Professor Emir Kusturica and offered bread, salt and rakija by children wearing traditional costumes from Glamoč. Amanda was a member of the jury at the previous Küstendorf Festival, and this year she came as a guest.
Producer Reinhard Brundig also arrived with Amanda Nevill. He was an associate of Karl Baumgartner, the film producer whose work is honoured with an exhibition to be open tomorrow. Martina, Karl Baumgartner’s daughter, also came to honour her father’s work.
