Synopsis

 

An investigation into the life of Pier Paolo Pasolini and the political background of his murder. The chronology of events between 1960 and 1975 tells about the life of the poet, artist, and journalist, about his political commitment and public activity.

Director's Biography
Paolo Fiore Angelini

He was born in Rimini in 1966. Since 2002, he has been working as a director, screenwriter and creative producer of television films that he makes for RAI, Mediaset and MTV. He made his directorial debut in 1991 with the collective film Link Prate TV, dedicated to the television of the same name, a phenomenon that took place in the squats of the Pratello district in Bologna during the 1990s. Based on a story by Maurizio Braucci, he made the short film SK Ro Cafe (1996), presented at the Venice International Film Festival and at the Clermont-Ferrand International Festival. In the same year, he directed the documentary film La rivoluzione non è più quellat, produced by Gianluca Arcopint. Paris, Dabar (2001) was awarded the best film at the Naples festival and at the Milan Triennale. Germano Sartelli, the shape of things - conversations (2014) is a film testament about the great artist from Imola. I Met Magnus (2016), a portrait of cartoonist Roberto Raviola, was presented in competition at the Biografilm festival. There came Opera mundi (2019), a film about the production of the opera Rigoletto. Codice Bologna (1980-2020), the story of the Bologna massacre and its perpetrators, was shown in Piazza Maggiore on August 2, 2020, forty years after the horrible event. Since 2003, he has been teaching audiovisual directing and screenwriting at the University of Bologna.
