Gökçe Erdem is a Toronto-based writer and director originating from Istanbul. She holds a BFA in film, video, and integrated media from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and the Turkish Ministry of Culture. She was one of the directors selected for the 2018 Locarno Filmmakers Academy; and is an alumna of Talents Sarajevo and the Reykjavik Talent Lab. Gökçe is currently developing her debut feature-length project.
Her filmography comprises Titanyum (2018) and Haziran (2014).
