Synopsis

The Last Tale About Earth is a story of a father and his two children, who try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Everything in their surroundings seems to suggest they are the only people on Earth. They live in an underground shelter in the woods, and due to air contamination they never go outside without protective clothing. A mysterious signal from the outside, seen only by the girl, becomes their motivation to face whatever it is that hides beyond their known world.

Magdalena Seweryn & Igor Polaniewicz

Magdalena Seweryn

Magdalena Seweryn is a Cinematography student at the Krzysztof Kieslowski Radio and Television Faculty of the University of Silesia and a graduate of Documentary Studies at the University of Warsaw. As a screenwriter, director and cinematographer, she has worked on the sets of numerous documentary and narrative films, both in Poland and abroad, developing her skills under guidance of such cinematographers as Bogdan Dziworski, Adam Sikora, Marcin Koszałka or Arkadiusz Tomiak.

Igor Polaniewicz

Igor Polaniewicz was born in Warsaw in 1988. After graduating from high school, he pursued his love for film and photography. He studied Cinematography at the University of Silesia in Katowice, tutored by Bogdan Dziworski and Adam Sikora. In 2014, he received the renowned industry award KTR Young Directors for the book trailer advertising Marcin Wroński’s crime novel Haiti. In 2015, he won the prestigious Jan Machulski award for cinematography for the movie Stranger.
