
The Troubled Troubadour
Synopsis
Two middle-aged Japanese men, a hubristic musician and his stoic companion, travel aboard a wheeled canoe on abandoned train tracks along the Southern coast of Korea. They fall into an ambush set by a tribe of wild Korean children, who mistake the musician for their long-awaited Mountain God.

Born in 1982, Forest Ian Etsler is an American filmmaker and an MFA graduate from Dongguk University in Seoul. He also works as director of East-Asia programming for the Middle Coast Film Festival in Bloomington, Indiana.
Born in 1983, Sébastien Simon is a French filmmaker and a graduate from the E.S.E.C film school and from Université Paris 1. He also works for various festivals in Korea and France. As co-directors, they produced The Troubled Troubadour (2016), Tetsu Kono’s crazy routine (2016), One-minded (2014) and The Urban Suite (2014).
