Not Just Any Day

Lena is 43, she dreams of becoming a mother, and today is not just any day – it is the day for her to conceive. But she and her husband are headed to his friend’s birthday party, several hundred kilometers from the city. On the way, the couple gets into a fight over what’s really important on this day, and Lena is left alone, in the middle of the deserted winter roads of the Russian province.

About Director

Klavdiya Korshunova

Klavdiya was born into a theatrical family in Moscow. In 2004, she graduated from The Shchepkin Higher Theatre School and joined The Sovremennik Theater as an actress. She has appeared in films by directors such as Nikolay Khomeriki, Sharunas Bartas, Aleksandr Mindadze, and Yuri Bykov. Additionally, Klavdiya is involved in producing charitable projects for the Lighthouse Foundation, where she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. In 2021, she enrolled in the Moscow Film School (curators: A. Popogrebsky, P. Bardin). Not Just Any Day is her graduation film. She is currently working on her full-length debut, Vanya.
