Synopsis
On his trip to the village under the mountain, Wong meets a Tibetan girl, De Lan. He later finds that De Lan is married to Rigchin. One day, a young Tibetan man arrives with a woman, and De Lan starts crying. How many lovers does De Lan have? When Rigchin hints Wong that he doesn’t mind joining them, Wong is lost…

In 1991, Liu Jie graduated from Beijing Film Academy. From 1992, he worked as director of photography together with director Wang Xiao-shuai in a number of acclaimed independent films like Beijing Bicycle, The Days and so on. In 2006, he started his directing career. Courthouse on the Horseback is his first work which won the Horizons Award at 63rd Venice International Film Festival. He wrote and directed the film Judge which won the 47th Taipei Golden Horse Award for Best Original Screenplay and his Deep in the Clouds won the Gold Goblet Awards Jury Prize and Best Director at the 13th Shanghai International Film Festival.
