Synopsis

Rodolfo and Beatriz are the parents of teenagers Jessica and Juan. Together they form a perfect dysfunctional family. Rodolfo leaves to work every day, but he is really unemployed. Beatriz, who suffers a midlife crisis, is seduced by her gym coach. Jessica is in a love triangle between her boyfriend and her best friend. And Juan, finds out he is about to be a father. This is the life of an ordinary family in Tijuana trying to keep secrets from each other, while living under the same roof.

Director's Biography

Gilberto González Penilla

Born in Tijuana B.C. Mexico on in 1983. In 2007, he joined the Training Center of Cinematography (CCC). His first short films The Dinner and The Border of Jesus, and Smile were featured in several international films festivals including: Shorts Shorts México, International Kurz Film Festival in Hamburg, La Habana Film Festival, Guadalajara International Film festival, Young Cinema Art in Poland, Festival Sequence in Toulouse France, Uruguay International Film Festival, International Festival of Short Films in Santiago, Sichuan TV and Film Festival in China, International Film Festival in Cartagena de Indias Colombia, Molodist International Film Festival in Ukraine and the Viart in Venezuela, Garden State International Film Festival in New Jersey and Küstendorf International Film Festival among others. Currently he is finishing his first documentary called Conversations of a Marriage and Love in Time of Fires released in Morelia international film festival 2013, Ambulante 2014 and Festival Maailmafilm in Tartu Estonia 2014. His feature film is The Hamsters.
