Willem Lee is a New York based filmmaker. Fueled by his passion for the subject, he independently studied the history of cinema and narrative. He furthered his education by enrolling at Columbia University to pursue an MFA in film directing, where he was selected to assist many film professors as well as teach a film directing class. He has directed several short films and is currently working on a North Korean documentary with acclaimed director Dai-Sil Kim-Gibson. The End of the World is his thesis film and was awarded the IFP Audience Award at the Columbia University Film Festival.
