THE OPENING OF KUSTENDORF 2010

The third annual international film and music festival Kustendorf opened with the unvieling of the statue of Johnny Depp, the honorary guest and promoter of this year's festival. In front of numerous visitors and guests of the festival, along with fantastic fireworks and the music of the Dejan Pertrovic Orchestra, Depp and Emir Kusturica improvised a small performance. They took turns in removing layers of different flags that embodied the statue, portraying his character in the movie Arizona Dream.

JOHNNY DEPP ARRIVED AT THE KUSTENDORF 2010

Renouned American actor Johnny Depp, on the day before the third annual Kustendorf film and music festival, traveled to Serbia via helicopter and landed in Mokra Gora, in Drvengrad. After a quick break, Johnny Depp, accompanied by his host and the founder of the Festival Emir Kusturica, took a walk around the village. Enthusiastic and smiling, Depp chatted with the Festival visitors and photographed with fans, all while modestly denying his glamorous Hollywood star status.

KUSTENDORF 2010 OPENING CEREMONY

The third International Film and Music Festival Küstendorf will be opened on Wednesday, January 13^th, 2010 in Drvengrad at 4.30 pm. The opening ceremony will begin with the unveiling of the life-sized bust of Johnny Depp, along with the fireworks and the music of Dejan Petrović Orchestra (the winner of the 2009 Guča trumpet festival). Afterwards, Johnny Depp will receive a special award named the “Award for Future Movies”.
