Famous American director Jim Jarmusch has landed on the Mokra Gora mountain today. In spite of tiredness after the fifteen hours journey, Jarmusch was in a mood for talking with journalists and walking around Drvengrad. During the next few days, some of this author’s most significant releases will be shown in the RETROSPECTIVE OF GREATNESS programme. After every film showing, Mr. Jarmusch will hold workshops for students and Festival’s guests.
In the evening hours, before the COMPETITION PROGRAMME, Serbian band VRELO made a tribute to Mr. Jarmusch by performing famous song ‘There is an End’ from his release ‘Broken Flowers’ while the frames from his films were shown on the screen. After thanking for the warm reception, Mr. Jarumsch added that his stay in Küstendorf is like some magical dream.
In the crowded ‘Damned Yard’ cinema, Oliver Stone’s release ‘W.’ had its premiere in the Contemporary Trends programme.
The second Festival day ended with performance of the Macedonian band LEB I SOL, which exists for more than 30 years.
